Overview

As part of Smart India Hackathon 2024, our team Error404 worked on Problem Statement ID 1667:
“Integrate Industry-Relevant Vocational Training into Elementary and Secondary Education Curriculum.”

This problem statement came under the Smart Education theme and the Software category. Our solution, Sahayak, aims to bring vocational education into the core of school curricula in a scalable, inclusive, and engaging manner.

Our Solution: Sahayak

Sahayak is a next-generation platform designed to support the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making vocational training an essential part of early education. The platform includes:

• AI-Powered Personalized Career Paths
  Based on students’ grades, interests, and answers to a few questions, the system recommends relevant career paths.
• Multilingual Support
  To ensure inclusivity, the platform offers content in various languages.
• Gamified Learning Experience
  Learning modules are interactive and fun, using quizzes, challenges, and rewards.
• Virtual Reality (VR) Labs
  Simulations in subjects like Chemistry, Electronics, and Carpentry allow students to practice without expensive equipment.
• LokVidhya Integration
  Helps students build soft skills like communication and problem-solving through NPC-based simulations, like interview practice.
• Industry Collaboration
  Real-time courses are uploaded by industry mentors, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry expectations.

Technologies Used

• Frontend: Angular, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript
• Backend: .NET Core Web API
• AI Integration: Python services for recommendations
• Database: MongoDB hosted on AWS
• VR Labs: Built using OpenCV and Three.js
• Authentication: Role-based access with JWT tokens
• Analytics: Real-time data visualization with ApexCharts

Sahayak is unlike any other solution in the market due to the following reasons:

• Cost-effective VR labs using OpenCV, removing the need for costly hardware.
• A comprehensive library of learning material including videos, notes, PDFs, and skill-based aptitude tests.
